From the moment Laura Rivers steps foot into Englewood High, she notices the stares—and they aren’t the typical once-overs every pretty new girl endures. The students seem confused and…spooked. Whispers echoing through the halls confirm that something is seriously off. “That new girl looks just like her,” they say.

It turns out Laura has a doppelgänger, and it isn’t just anyone—it’s Sarah Castro-Tanner, the girl who killed herself by jumping into the Navasink River one year ago.

Laura is determined not to let the gossip ruin her chances of making a fresh start. Thanks to her charming personality and California tan, she catches the eye of Englewood’s undisputed golden boy, Charlie Sanders, and it’s only a matter of time before they make their relationship official.

But something is making Charlie and his friends paranoid—and Laura soon discovers it has to do with Sarah Castro-Tanner.

What really happened to Sarah? Why is Charlie unraveling? And how does Laura Rivers fit into it all?

After all, she’s the dead ringer for a dead girl.

Note: I received a free copy from Netgalley in exhange for an honest review. This does not affect my reviews.

Dead Ringer is a fast-paced book. While reading Dead Ringer it feels like your riding with a rollercoaster with the twists and revelations. As you read you will discover things that will keep you guessing and what will happen next.

Laura Rivers planned what to do and what to act the moment she stepped at Englewood High. All of her expectations did not happen because the moment she entered her new school everyone was looking at her horrified and shocked. Rumors started that Laura looked like the girl who died last year- Sarah Castro Tanner. Of course, Charlie Sanders-the hot soccer player, is her seatmate. Laura was so curios with Charlie and was keeping an eye at him, and so as Charlie. When Laura asks about Sarah’s relationship with Charlie they act strange.Charlie hides a secret. Including his 3 friends: Amanda, Kit, and Miller that nobody knows except them.

When Laura learned that she looks like Sarah she can’t stop searching about the incident or should we call suicide that happened last year. On the other hand, Sasha also investigates the Sarah incident. She believes that it’s not  a suicide but a murder.  Ever since Sarah died, Sasha hacks the social medias, emails and other stuffs that connects with the internet to learn the truth. Even when you mention Sarah in your chat, it will pop up in her screen like how cool is that? While reading her POV’s I always think that being a hacker is so cool and I wanna try it. Sasha is my favorite character in the book. One and only. Sometimes I hate Laura because she’s so nosy , I understand that she has the right to do that but not that much! Charlie however is so imbecile. Sorry not sorry. He just do decisions without thinking the consequences. The plot  is amazing. The revelations and secrets were dropped one by one, and slowly. Boom! another revelation then it stops then Boom! another revelation. It’s the kind of book that you want to stay up all night just to finish  reading and know the truth. The creepy videos pictures and emails from CO was a really cool idea. ( which you will know who CO is and what is the meaning of it *winks*) But the ending made a great impact for me. CLIFFHANGERS. Ugh. I don’t why Rosen ended the book like that but I HONESTLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. Now I have to wait on her confirmation if she will be writing a part 2 *sighs*. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!
