Goodreads Synopsis:

Cupcake-loving croupier Tiffany Black is determined to leave her job at the casino for good. She’s one small step away from acquiring her Private Investigator license, and has her eye on the prize.

Accepting her first real case – investigating the murder of casino-mogul Ethan Becker – should be exciting. Instead, things spiral out of control and Tiffany finds herself in over her head, as she confronts secretive suspects, corrupt casino henchmen and her mysterious, ex-Special Forces bodyguard.

Tiffany’s poker-hustling Nanna and pushy parents want her to find a nice man and settle down, but Tiffany just wants to track down the real murderer before he finds her first…

Tiffany Black lives in Las Vegas. She works as a private investigator by day and works at a casino by night. She accepted her first case-to investigate Ethan Becker’s death. Police investigated about this case and their suspect is Sophia- ex-stripper, wife of Ethan.

Personally, I didn’t love Tiffany. Yes, she’s funny and it always makes me laugh by how addicted she is with cupcakes but as I continue reading I found it annoying and it makes me irritated. When she always felt bad about the investigation or something bad happens to her, she eat cupcakes and feel better like wtf? I can’t believe how she became a private investigator. She’s not capable of all the things a P.I do:

1. She’s scared to hold or bring a gun. (which I found stupid because she’s a P.I.)
2. She’s not good asking questions with strangers.
3. She fcking killed two dumbass with her manolo stilettos. Unbelievable.
4. She doesn’t know any self defense.

I think the character’s needs more development. Tiffany doesn’t know how to solve a case. She is full of what if’s. Ugh.

I love Tiffany’s family because they are really funny. Especially her Nanna, her Nanna acts like a teenager. Her mom wants her to get a proper job and a husband.

The plot was okay. I did not love it nor like it. The mystery was also okay. Sometimes I found this book boring. There were mystery but I was not that surprise by the ending and who the real suspect is. Although, it’s hard to guess who the real killer is because there’s a LOT of characters.

I like the writing style but I hate the main character, which I can’t connect with. I don’t know why this book is in the genre of romance. Like what? There weren’t any romance. Good this I didn’t pay for this because It’s free. I’m sorry but I can’t finish the series. I DON’T WANT TO RECOMMEND THIS.
